what do i do before waxing?List Item 1
- please do not exfoliate 2-5 days prior to your appointment
- discontinue active skincare 2-5 days prior to facial waxing appointments
- wear loose clothing for a more comfortable post waxing experience & to prevent skin irritation
- avoid creams & lotions in areas getting waxed as product residue can interfere with the waxing & the result of your waxing (for larger areas such as legs & arms)
- areas are always cleansed thoroughly prior to waxing to ensure there are no excess oils/debris on the surface of the skin

- avoid touching skin as this can cause skin irritation & bacteria to spread, resulting in possible breakouts
- avoid tight clothing to prevent ingrown hairs & skin rashes
- use a mild soap to ensure it is gentle on the skin
- do not exfoliate for 2-5 days after your treatment
- continue using any active skincare 2-5 days after your treatment

24-28 hours prior to your treatment, please avoid:List Item 1
- exfoliating the area
- using active skincare (retinol, aha/bha's, vitamin a)
- having a spray tan or applying self tan in the area
- using eye creams
- direct sunlight exposure or coming to your appointment with sunburn

- sleeping directly on brows and/or lashes
TANNING

before your spray tan:List Item 1
- exfoliate 2-3 days prior to your appointment
- ensure your skin is hydrated & that you moisturise daily
- do not have any perfumes, deodorant or products on the skin
- avoid showering directly before your appointment
- moisturise any areas you do not want excess tan to build up on (ears, hands, feet, elbows, knees & nail beds)

after your spray tan:List Item 2
- avoid hot showers as this can dry out your skin
- have a 30-60 second lukewarm shower after the time recommended
- do not moisturise after your 1st shower
- wait 12-24 hours until your 2nd shower, using a mild soap
- when showering use light fingertip strokes over your entire body while removing excess tan to prevent water streaks
- moisturise daily to ensure skin is hydrated & for tan to fade evenly
- use a tan extender to prolong spray tan results
COSMETIC TATTOOING

important information to know before your cosmetic tattooing:List Item 1
- there is to be no remains of henna or tint left on the skin & any waxing should be done 2-3 days prior to your treatment
- discontinue active skincare 1-2 weeks before your treatment (retinol, prescribed skincare)
- medical conditions or severe allergies that may interfere with the treatment must be made aware your therapist
- do not take aspirin, niacin, vitamin e or ibuprofen 48-72 hours prior to your treatment & do not cease regular medications unless talking to your GP
- no alcohol 24 hours before your treatment
- make sure you have eaten before your treatment & are well hydrated
- test patches are available. allergic reactions to pigments can occur immediately or manifest for years later whether or not the skin test patch is performed. allergic reactions are extremely rare!

what do i do after my cosmetic tattooing appointment?List Item 2
- aftercare will be given & discussed thoroughly so make sure you ask lots of questions!
- no direct water on area until peeling has finished (5-10 days)
- clear fluid may appear, wipe away to avoid crusting
- pigment can scab, do not pick or rub off flakes
- redness & swelling can occur, apply cool compress (not freezing) to relieve any discomfort
- colour will appear quite dark & distinct, but will fade 30-50%
- keep brows clean at all times to avoid infections
- skin can reject pigment that is why cosmetic tattooing is a multiple step procedure
- oily skin types & clients on medication are required to return more frequently as the skin pushes out the pigment sooner
- true pigment will be visible after 21 days - if too light or patchy in any areas, a touch up needs to be scheduled within 4-8 weeks

to increase the longevity of your cosmetic tattooing, please avoid the following for up to 2-4 weeks after your treatment(s):
- rubbing, touching or picking the area
- laser hair removal, ipl or fraxel
- facials or chemical peels
- active skincare (aha/bha's, retinol etc.)
- products on the area (makeup, spray tan, creams etc.)
- saunas
- sun exposure
- solarium
- swimming/chlorinated pools
- heavy exercise & excessive sweating
- antibiotics/hormonal therapy
